Jenny graduated from the James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1992. She graduated from University of Detroit, Mercy School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan in November 1996. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Jenny has practiced in trial courts throughout the state and has argued cases at the Court of Appeals.
Jenny initially began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Sanilac, Wayne and Charlevoix counties. She moved into the private sector in 2005 and now concentrates her practice in the fields of family law/divorce, criminal law, and juvenile law. She has extensive jury and bench trial experience, having handed both criminal and civil cases.
Jenny is a trial attorney with Stroup, Meengs, PC, a premier law firm in Petoskey, MI. She has utilized her communication skills and ability to connect with her clients to build a successful family law/divorce practice. Jenny is pleased to offer collaborative divorce services as part of her practice, in addition to traditional litigation services. Jenny was trained through the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan.
Jenny is a trustee of the Harbor Springs-Petoskey Community Foundation. She is a graduate of the Little Traverse Leadership program. She is a member of the Family Law, Children’s Law and Criminal Law sections of the Michigan Bar Association. She is the Vice-President of the Emmet/Charlevoix Bar Association. She is also a member of Collaborative Institute of Michigan and Up North Collaborative Practice Group.
